I don't know if I could give a short list of my fav remixes this year. Tough call for sure. I guess it's not strictly a remix but by far my fav tune this year is Markus' mashup of Perspective and The Space We Are.

I'm not much of a fan of remixing just for remix sake (which happens a lot nowadays), a remix has to really add something special to a tune and really make it better than the original.

A few ones that come to mind in that dept:

Does anyone know why there appear to be 2 slightly different versions, both titled "Aly & Fila Remix"?

The one which is downloadable from various sites (TrackItDown, Beatport etc) is ok, but there is a better version floating about somewhere which Aly & Fila played on their Future Sound of Egypt Radio Show.

No, I've got that remix. That is a craking tune.

But there are definitely 2 Aly & Fila versions. I think one is "Aly & Fila Remix" and the other is "Aly & Fila Remix 2007 Rework". I've got an mp3 of it but it's ripped from the radio show, so has this guys saying "this is the future sound of egypt" over the top of the track, which is annoying me. Wanted to find a pure copy.

As for me i like a lot of from what you've already mentioned but i can't understand why no one said about the Mind One remix on Lenny Kravitz yet . I already enjoyed the original a lot and this remix is just even better . I really hope that Armin plays it during his next tour in Ukraine and @ ArminOnly (hope i get there this year ) =)
