Any idea when we will see an official listing for Armin on NYE? Too much rumours about where he will be playing and I just want to know for sure where he will be for the NY period.

and i'm 85% sure that Armin will be in LA for new year's my friend..

That would be very consistent with the average timeliness of official Armin gig announcements

On a brighter note, the lineup for Sensation in Melbourne will be announced on October 1st, so we will know if there's any truth in those rumors shortly. It's a fair assumption that he's not booked for Summadayze in Melbourne on Jan 1st because either he's spinning at Sensation Melbourne NYE or he's been booked somewhere in the North or South Americas.

Ferry Corsten has also been telling some peeps I know that he'll probably be in Australia for NY.E...so he could be at Sensation himself....so maybe Armin & Ferry on NYE @ Sensation....wouldn't be the first time they played on NYE together. They did in LA on NYE 07

I'm planning to beg Godskitchen Birmingham management to book Armin for 27.12.2008 !

I don't know, I can't remember them doing any Godskitchen nights at Air in between Christmas and New Year before. Get begging for 20th December instead, the last Saturday before Christmas - that'll probably be the Xmas party, and I wouldn't be at all suprised if Armin was playing it (last here in April, definitely not here in October or November).

Boxing Day might well be a repeat of last year where he played in Ireland early (since nights have earlier curfews there) then still had time to come over to play Cream and Gatecrasher in England. Gatecrasher are doing another gig at the Carling Academy Sheffield on the 26th December; Menno de Jong already has it in his tour dates.

And the promoter for Gods has hinted that there would be strong lineups for the rest of the year, so to me that can only really mean Armin in Dec with PvD playing there in Nov and A&B in Sept...

I remember seeing LA for NYE as a rumoured date on the 1st page, and now it's not there.

I read an interview today, and it was the owner of Future Entertainment who is bringing Armin here for Summafielddayze and he mentioned about Melb & Syd missing out because of Armin doing an AO in LA on NYE so sounds like the LA rumour is true.

I removed it because of the lack of confirmation to that rumour lately. But your addition makes it worth while to add it back in I guess

No not at all that was me just throwing a controversial date into the thread. I shall be there whether Armin plays or not but i reckon he will, he has for the last 3 years when he has won or not.

I think it's even 4 years, sure they booked him in 2004 as well (the same year Tiësto pulled out at the last minute due to rehearsing the Tiësto in Concert magic trick).

DJ Mag are keeping admirably tight-lipped this year. The only thing I've seen them give away so far is in this interview with DJ Mag's editor Lesley Wright. Who is "the hottest ticket in town" is open to interpretation but you might think they perhaps mean the current 'number 1'.

Simple answer: the clubs / promotors didn't managed to get him booked there.

Looks like Armin Only in LA on NYE is a part of Together as One....so while a part of a bigger event (monster massive being thrown by the co-promoter of TAO in the exact same venue in a few weeks has a 70,000 person capacity), Armin Only will be a part of it.

I'm in Tokyo for a week (flew out right after the LoveFest closing party in san francisco this past weekend) so can't really ask a bunch of people to be 100% sure.

does anyone know when Armin is coming to perform in Chicago?? He usually hits the area twice a year, but his last performance was in late May and I don't see anything scheduled in Chicago so far for the remainder of the year.

however, he made his first performance as the #1 DJ in Chicago the night after the new DJMag rankings came out so that was cool... I remember how excited and pumped he was at the set! definitely a memorable night...

i hope so... But surely fitting in a 3 hour set at The Gallery would be a bit difficult given that he's confirmed to be up in birmingham at gods on the same night...?

It wouldn't be that hard if he played at Godskitchen 11-1 then say the gallery 4-7. I've heard the same rumour he's playing that night so I wouldn't be suprised if it's true.

That's true, but i wouldn't really expect him to play such an early set at either godskitchen or ministry. I hope you're right anyway though... a 4-7am at the gallery would be awesome!

He could stay in Birmingham until about 2am; if I can get to London in 2.5 hours on a National Express coach, I'm pretty sure there's time to be knocked off there.

Menno said that he's likely to play the penultimate set that night so Blake -> Armin -> Menno -> Eteson at Gods with Armin taking a trip down to London after his set sounds pretty feasible all round.

Yes, It's confirmed: Armin will be at The Gallery at Ministry of Sound on December 19th. And Markus Schulz will be with him.

The Gallery is always on a friday, they can't really change that. I'm suprised godskitchen didn't book him for sat. He must have a big gig somewhere else if he couldn't play then.

Thats the thing, Armin at Ministry just before Xmas would almost guarantee to be a sell out. I'd much rather travel to see Armin at Gods for 2hrs then sweat through a 3hr set at the Ministry.
