Think again well you may be the only one in the country but not the only indian who is addicted to trance music. .

Good 2 hear a handful of you indian love trances music, last year when i played "sail" of AVB to a hundred IT indians , ended up change to bollywood music in just 30 Sec of "sail"

Still a long way to go to convince Trance DJ to go to india to perform the show.

We are merely an outlier. I agree that Indians weren't meant to listen to trance because, its mainly targeted towards the european market. But see its good to be different. btw, I was born in India just FYI.

Don't listen to those F*ck wits. They don't know what music is. I have been a fan of trance since 2000. Love it then and still do. I have never liked bollywood music ever.



As for bollywood don't talk about it. I had it with them. God they have breached so many copyright legislation. I want hollywood to sue the hell out of bollywood there are like endless lists of things where bollywood had ripped off. They make billions of dollars for making the same old romeo and juliet crap. Bollywood rots the mind its not intelligent stuff you watch.




Anyways try and spread the word that trance exists because its people like us who will spread the word of its existence.

And actually trance is the only thing I listen. I haven't listened to a Hindi song in years. It's pretty much annoying, because music is created to make money from it. And It's not done with any passion eventhough there may be some exception).

I've been a Bollywood listener untill back in 2002, then I got in to English pop, when some friends recommended 'Backstreet boys'. But later my taste completely went in to Alt rock/ hard rock etc. Later in 2006 When I downloaded a Manchester United Football video, I was really moved by the song in it, and with a lot of searching I came to know that it was 'Chicane - Saltwater'. So I looked out for more of his songs. But what changed my listening habits entirely was an evening in 2006 june, When I happened to listen "Perpetuous Dreamer - Sound of Goodbye (Above and Beyond Remix)" it was an hell of an experience. it was like an old man's soul leaving his body to enter a new one.

Then I often found time to listen to Di.fm, especially to find new artists. I also like 'Voices of' series by Djs Gt and Project C.


And I hate the likes of Jessica Simpson with a passion

Im from a Neighbourin Country of India, called Maldives ( Anybody heard of it?)...

But i feel so lucky, i got into Trance. Probably 90% of the people living here doesnt know wat trance is. ( People around here thinks, any music track with a 4/4 beat is Techno..haha)

Project C and GT do make some pretty beast vocals sets, I have to agree with you on that one

Messa from Mumbai, and there are thousands of us here in Mumbai who are addicted to progressive trance, the kind Armin, Andy moor, Markus schulz play etc...

Its a pity though there are very limited clubs here that play this genre of music, its more of bollywood trash or hip hop, I cant decide which is worse

Hi, i from Mumbai--Forget bout Big dj's coming here we should atleast be able to buy their Albums and DVD's in music stores like Planet M, but i didn't find a single DVD when i have visited these stores.

Once I told my cousin to get me anything that is trance from Planet M in banglore I used to be there but before 2006, beore i started listening to trance. And when he looked for Trance he couldn't find any and he asked for the guys in the store, and what they showed his was devotional records like 'Siva trance' and all..

I also haveto tell you all that American/hollywood music artists are the biggest thing in here. And crap hip hop/ rap are being fed to us through music channels like MTV. Internet is the only media that we canget to listen to trance.

Meanwhile, T-Series has Elements of life by Tiesto on their label, but I don'y know how it's stats here in India. I didn'y buy it - I'm not a Tiesto fan.

Well In the Mumbai Planet M i was able to find 4 Albums by PVD, 2 by Tiesto (Bought them all) but none by Armin, it's a real shame that they don't have cd's or dvd's by the best dj on the Planet.

I am quite a regular listener of ASOT.
it will surely take some time for EDM to get into India. Its getting popular and hence i have been able to see acts like PVD, Ferry Corsten and Richard Durand in Bombay. We even had Above and Beyond, Carl Cox play at Goa last year.
Hopefully we would see Armin in future

then i come to know abt Armin and downloaded his Imagine album

then i start listening to ASOT from 358

I am from Bangalore, India and have been listening to Trance for about a year now. I was first introduced to it by a friend in the United States who shared ASOT 248 via MSN. Thats where it took off and I have got so addicted to Trance that I cant have a day go by without listening to it. My first influence was obviously Armin but then I also got to listen Tiesto, PVD, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, etc.

Though I have listened to all of the above DJs, I strongly feel Armin is the Best! His music continues to delve in to the Progressive which really makes for great listening. His music has inspired me to such a great extent that I now have plans to buy a DJ console and start playing trance myself! Its really awe inspiring that he has been able to cut across so many countries by his music!

I wish Armin could come down to Bangalore soon - I would be ready to pay ANY price just to see him LIVE!!

I guess it was only a matter of time before someone would post something as tasteless at this

I'm happy to say that i was able to purchase the Tiesto Copenhagen DVD yesterday along with a few more albums but still waiting for Armin albums.

All you trance freaks, we been having an amazing month or two here in Mumbai. Andy Moor was in town on 5th Oct. And the man himself (Armin) is coming down to Mumbai on 5th Nov. venue is gonna be Poison...
