Right guy's, as i'm new to the whole ASOT, how does it work each week.

I know it's divided into 2 sets, but are both mixed live or recorded before aired? I know that last weeks second hour was recorded from Ibiza closing party but are all ASOT's traditionally the same.

ASOT is broadcast every week on Thursday evenings and Armin prepares the show well in advance

This could be done on the plane,hallway,airport and almost anywhere with the use of his Macbook and Ableton which he uses to create the show

Also, its a 2hour show with the latest in Trance and Progressive tunes and sometimes includes a recording of his gigs in the 2nd hour

ASOT is always pre-recorded. The very first broadcasts used to be live, but Armin got more and more busy touring and simply didn't have the time to keep it live. He usually records it on tour in his hotelroom or on a flight to some gig.
The regular episodes consist of a 2 hours mix, with a Future Favorite (as voted by the listeners) and Tune of the Week (voted by Armin himself). Sometimes Armin has recorded a liveset and broadcasts that on ASOT.

You can vote for your future favourite, which is a track that's been voted by the listeners as the favourite tune of that particular week on www.trance.nu
You have to register tho

Tracklisting cannot be obtained before the show, but you can join the forum as there are lots of fans ID'ing the tunes as the show is being aired

Yes, he just had one of his tracks played on ASOT (Paul Webster Remix)

I thought so. It's really wierd becuase I used to use tranceaddict about 4 years ago and I was talking to him and added him to msn (if it's the same one). He said he was about to be signed up and send me some songs, and gotta admit they were good tunes.

It's great to see he has made it. Let's hope we see some more of him. I believe he is from Israel.
