Unless you were living in the Netherlands in 2001 and actively listening to ID&T Radio you cannot possible have heard those episodes in full. Of ASOT 001 and 004 only the second hours were recorded and shared over the web. Armin is the only person on the planet who still has a recording of the first hour of these 2 episodes. And that is exactly why they are being re-broadcast on this very special occasion.

I usually tune into di.fm to listen to ASOT... does anyone know how long di.fm will broadcast the show? I may just tune into a live stream on astateoftrance.com -- of course I'll try and catch the video stream for each of the parties! cool.gif There better not be any serious buffering though... unsure.gif

I have a 40 GB ipod so if the entire ASOT 400 file ends up being around 12 GB, that's more than 25% of the memory on that thing! And got way too many good tunes, albums, compilations, and other ASOT episodes that I refuse to remove. I guess I could just start saving up and get myself 120 GB ipod... rolleyes.gif

I would say you could get all 72 hours at just over 6GB.

A typical 2 hour Armin show at 192 kbps is about 170MB.

Therefore if u calculate it at as 36 x 2 hour shows (72 hours)

= 36 x 170 = 6120MB

6.1 GB say

it will still be a massive file and i will getting fOR sure, i have 16gb on my n96 , and i will transfer to my phone once i have the files and i won't be getting rid of this EVER., plus your forgetting all these guest mixes are 1 hr, not 2 hrs like Armin, so i would say the guest mixes would be about 80 - 100mb each @192.

DI.fm premium (where all the rips are coming from) recently switched from 192 to 256. The big question however is in what bitrate the rest of the show on astateoftrance.com is going to be broadcast. I doubt that will be 256 tbh.

yes, it's interesting question for sho. DI.fm will be broadcasted thursdays show for sure, but what about rest 2 events still don't know. Hope some will be ripping video broadcast.

One thing we know for sure, that will be the biggest trance show ever made with full radio & video broadcast, it's awesome! Armin is on the nex level if we talking about radioshows or we should say videoshow?

I took 2 days off in job becasue I want to do tracklisting on TA forum.
LuckyLuke
6 GB is still massive, but it ain't 12 GB which I suspected was an exaggeration. I can definitely squeeze in 6 GB on my ipod. I would still prefer to have the whole thing divided into parts, preferably by each DJ. It would be some work though...

Armin finishes at 03:00, N2O starts at 03:00 so no clash there... The big worry is that Aly & Fila and N2O are both on at the same time - so difficult to choose who I care the least about! unsure.gif

Lol if it was me it would be a no-brainer. N20 fo' sure. Aly & Fila play cheese.

I think I'd agree on Nitrous Oxide of the two, since it leaves me in the correct room to be missing Daniel Kandi. smile.gif

Then gradually delete the sets i don't necessarily love wink.gif

so i noticed for the rotterdam event, the second room will be broadcasted alongside with the first room, so who will be broadcasted live? i assume alot of the second room artists due to the other dj's have already been played over the 2 previous days

We don't know yet. They might be switching rooms throughout the night. Guess we just have to wait and see.
